Barcelona won 4-0 over Osasuna in the match week 11 of the Spain La Liga at the Camp Nou Stadium on Sunday (29/11).
Barcelona appear dominant in this home match. They controlled the ball up to 73 percent and took 10 shots aimed at the opponent’s goal, rather than Osasuna who only had 5 shots.
Barcelona immediately tried to appear aggressive from the first minute. However, a number of opportunities the host got were not able to be maximized into goals.
Striker Martin Braithwaite gave Barcelona the lead in the 29th minute after taking advantage of the chaos in front of Osasuna’s goal. The goal came from Jordi Alba’s attractive bait to Philippe Coutinho.
But Coutinho’s shot was pushed over by Osasuna goalkeeper. It’s just that, a wild ball approached Braithwaite who was immediately cheated into a goal.
Towards the end of the first half, Antoine Griezmann doubled the Blaugrana’s lead in the 42nd minute with a spectacular goal.
Jordi Alba is again the creator of Ronald Koeman’s team’s second goal. Alba’s cross could not be cleared properly by Osasuna’s back line.
The ball was still rolling in front of the visitors’ penalty box which was immediately struck with a hard kick from Griezman’s left foot. The opposing goalkeeper Sergio Herrera did nothing to do with the French national team striker’s shot.
Barcelona added to their lead in the 57th minute with a fine attack. Coutinho gave the ball to Braithwaite, but failed to control and was thrown out by the opposing defender.
But the clean-up ball headed for Griezmann was sent straight to Coutinho for the goal, as the Herrera keeper was already focused on Griezmann’s move.
Not wanting to be left behind, Barcelona captain Lionel Messi also listed his name on the scoreboard in the 73rd minute.
After receiving a pass from Trincao, Messi passed one Osasuna defender before firing a left-footed shot which aimed at the top left corner of Sergio Herrera’s goal.
After scoring a goal, Messi made a special celebration in honor of the late Diego Maradona. Without additional goals in the remaining matches, Barcelona won 4-0 over Osasuna.
This result is a resurrection for Barcelona after previously being defeated by Atletico Madrid 1-0. Ronald Koeman’s team occupies seventh place with a value of 14 from 9 matches. Osasuna is in 15th place with a score of 11.
