Barcelona won 6-1 against Real Sociedad in the Spanish League match at the Reale Seguros Stadium, Monday (22/3).
The Blaugrana’s attempt to take the lead only paid off in the 37th minute through Antoine Griezmann’s goal.
Griezmann’s goal stems from Jordi Alba’s attractive bait in front of goal which Ousmane Dembele immediately grabbed. However, Dembele’s shot was intercepted by goalkeeper Alex Remiro.
It’s just that, the ball rebounded closer to Griezmann who was immediately kicked with his left foot and led to a goal.
Right-back Sergino Dest enlarged Barcelona’s lead over Sociedad in the 43rd minute. Dest’s not wasted a measured breakthrough bait from Lionel Messi.
Dest’s right-footed shot sent the ball towards the right side of Sociedad’s goal which was escorted by Alex Remiro.
Dest scored the second goal of the match which put Barcelona 3-0 up in the 53rd minute. Left-back Jordi Alba combed from the left, then passed the opposing players and sent a pass to the front of the goal which Dest struck straight into the goal.
Not wanting to be left behind, Lionel Messi also listed his name on the scoreboard in the 57th minute. Sergio Busquets’ breakthrough bait was well controlled by Messi. Even though he was guarded by two opposing players, Messi was still able to fire a shot that led to a goal for Barcelona.
Ousmane Dembele made the Blaugrana even more difficult to catch in that match after winning 5-0 in the 71st minute. After receiving a pass from Illaix Moriba, Dembele dribbled into the penalty box and then fired it to the left which was beyond the reach of the keeper Remiro.
In the 74th minute Adnan Januzaj tries to reduce the position. It’s just that, Januzaj’s kick can still be secured by Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
Sociedad was only able to reduce the position in the 77th minute through Ander Barrenetxea’s goal after receiving Carlos Fernandez’s assist.
Messi scored his second goal in the 90th minute. The goal was created with a neat process. Jordi Alba makes a one-two pass with Ricard Puig. Alba then gave Messi a bait which was immediately ended with a left-footed shot at the near post.
The goal was checked with VAR. The referee then continued to endorse the goal, giving Barcelona a 6-1 lead over Sociedad.
