Inter Milan’s vice president, Javier Zanetti spoke about the future of the Nerazzurri’s mainstay bomber – Inter Milan’s nickname, Lautaro Martinez. Zanetti emphasised that the Argentine passport player was very happy at the Giuseppe Meazza.
It should be noted, the name Lautaro Martinez has been in discussion in recent times. The 25-year-old striker is rumoured to be joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2023.
Lautaro Martinez seems to be projected to be Karim Benzema’s successor. The reason is, Benzema is now widely linked with Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad after the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner’s contract expires next summer.
The figure of Lautaro Martinez was considered suitable to replace Karim Benzema. Martinez is in his best form after winning the World Cup, Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup.
Responding to these rumours, the vice president of Inter Milan, Javier Zanetti, emphasised that his party was not bothered by this issue. In fact, he made sure that the bomber was very happy at Inter Milan.
“I haven’t heard anything about the Real Madrid rumours, we don’t know anything about it,” Javier Zanetti told TyC Sports quoted from Fabrizio Romano’s Twitter account, Thursday (1/6/2023).
“I am very calm at the moment. Because Lautaro Martinez is very happy here at Inter Milan,” continued the Nerazzurri legend.
It is only natural that Lautaro Martinez will be targeted by Real Madrid in the summer of 2023. Moreover, Martinez has pretty good statistics this season, collecting 28 goals and 11 assists in 55 matches for Inter Milan in all competitions.
