On the occasion of watching VCT Pacific Stage 2 in Korea, Esports.ID managed to have a short chat with a local FPS star whose name is well known in other countries. He is one of the Susanto brothers who currently plays on the Paper Rex team from Singapore.
Jason “f0rsaken” Susanto is the younger brother of xccurate and older brother of Jojo, all of whom are very skilled at FPS games, aka shooting games like Counter Strike and Valorant.
Xccurate himself said that the origin of this talent apparently came from his father, who used to be an internet cafe guard.
“My parents used to dream of internet cafes, haha. My dad used to guard internet cafes. I’ve been playing since kindergarten,” said Jason.
It’s not surprising that the culture of playing games has spread from Xccurate, f0rsaken to Jojo.
f0rsaken also said that he has a desire to return to playing in Indonesia as long as there is a team that has a promising roster. However, currently he feels at home at Paper Rex because his team still has great potential to become world champions.
He gave some comments about the Valorant scene in Indonesia, especially the presence of the Predator League from the Acer Predator League which could become an off season tournament for the Valorant community in Indonesia.
“The Predator League can already be used as a forum for player regeneration, especially since Acer Predator is also a big brand, but if for example it adds a tournament, it would be even better,” he said.
