Harry Kane’s ambition to be able to lift the Champions League trophy seems to be the main issue of rumours of the 29-year striker’s move to Bayern Munich. The desire he never realised while playing for Tottenham Hotspurs.
Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel is said to have kept in touch with the Tottenham Hotspur captain, and even met him at his home in London.
It was in this discussion that the 29-year-old forward admitted that the idea of winning trophies, in particular the Champions League, appealed to him immensely.
And why not? The all-time England and Spurs top scorer has only lifted one trophy in his career, namely the Audi Cup in 2019. Ironically, that was against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
According to Getfootballnewsgermany.com, Bayern have rejected an offer for Kane worth around €70 million. However, it is likely that a second bid will be submitted in the near future.
The England forward’s contract runs out in 2024 and is in danger of not signing an extension and leaving for free the following summer.
This is a situation that Bayern are also thinking about if they want Kane with them for the coming season. Meanwhile, the Spurs are preparing for their pre-season tour in Asia.
Meanwhile, Bayern are scheduled to be at their training camp in Tegernsee on July 15. However, Bayern wanted to save Kane’s trip and complete this deal.
