Tennis News : All the women and men in the top 50 have confirmed that they will start the 2020 season at the first Grand Slam, the Australian Open.
World number 1 tennis player, Rafael Nadal and Ashleigh Barty will be the first seed of the 115th edition of the Australian Open which will be held on January 20 – February 7, 2020.
The Australian Open in 2020 will also be the first tournament for former world number 3 Juan Martin del Potro. The Argentine will return to the Australian Open using a protected ranking after being absent for six months due to injury.
Tennis player who has won the Australian Open seven times, Serena Williams will again try to win the 24th Grand Slam title in her career at the Australian Open, an achievement that will make it equal the Margaret Court record.
Serena’s sister, Venus Williams, who is 39 years old, will also return to Melbourne.
