Thiago Motta is a strong candidate for Juventus coach next season to replace Massimiliano Allegri. This news was conveyed by Italian media, Football Italia.
According to the Italian Football report, Juventus’ interest in Thiago Motta is based on the coach’s success with Bologna. Until week 27 of the 2023-2024 Italian League, Bologna sits in fourth position with 51 points. If they stay in this position until the end of the season, the Rossoblu – Bologna’s nickname – will qualify for the 2024-2025 Champions League.
Juventus Sports Director, Cristiano Giuntoli, is an admirer of the 41 year old coach. Reportedly, Giuntoli had targeted Thiago Motta when he was still working at Napoli.
It’s no surprise that the Old Lady is interested in bringing in Thiago Motta. As mentioned above, Thiago Motta has succeeded in making Bologna look good in the Italian League this season.
The Rossoblu currently sit in fourth place in the 2023-2024 Italian League standings by collecting 51 points. Bologna collected 14 wins, nine draws and only four defeats from the 27 Italian League matches they have played this season.
Even so, Juventus is not the only club interested in a Brazilian coach. Because, there are also several big European clubs who have also made them their targets. The clubs in question are AC Milan, Napoli and Barcelona.
