Thierry Henry lost his job as the manager of AS Monaco. The club management had decided to sack Henry yesterday (24/1/2019).
Thierry Henry was consider fail to replace and rejuvenate the AS Monaco performance after he replace Leaonardo Jardim. Currently Monaco still in the relegation zone of the Ligue 1.
Arsenal’s legendary player has only manage Monaco for more or less 20 matches in total of his managerial career. Henry only won 5 out of all that matches in all competition.
This is one of the reason for the club management to decide to end Henry managerial tenure in Monaco as his condition is no longer conducive and they are no longer trust Henry capability to save the club. AS Monaco management was then decided to pass the manager baton to Henry assistant manager Franck Passi.
Currently, Monaco management turn their head back toward Leonardo Jardim and they will try to bring back the previous coach to train and manage the team. Jardim was leaving Monaco on October last year after several loses that cost the club.
Monaco was the first team that in Henry managerial career. Before his tenure in Monaco started, Henry was the assistant coach for Roberto Martinez in the Belgium national football team.
Thierry Henry was also being offered to work and handle Aston Villa, but he chose to try his managerial role in Monaco on the October of 2018.
In term of economic power and their power to compete, nobody will ask Henry decision to choose Monaco over Aston Villa. Monaco won the Ligue 1 just few years before PSG domination, and in term of footballing stars, they had a lot of good quality players. The only things that come with it is the pressure and the higher objective that they demands.
With great price come greater responsibility. And this is the price and the consequences that Thierry Henry have to accept when he fail to save Monaco, the termination.
Where will Thierry Henry be next? will there be any team who are willing to welcome him? Thierry Henry was absolutely a great player but not so a good coach, at least not yet, no any significant achievement that could back that up.
