Three Chelsea players that are not to be keep for next season

After an impressive start, Chelsea are having a difficult period lately. Eden Hazard’s and colleagues’ performances seemed inconsistent.

Peak, Chelsea swallowed a humiliating defeat with a score of 6-0 when visiting Manchester City headquarters. The defeat left them out of the top four.

Maurizio Sarri must be responsible for the poor performance that Chelsea have shown lately. However, Chelsea also need to release players who do not contribute to the club.

Here are three players who are not fit to be at Chelsea next season as reported by Madaboutepl.

Danny Drinkwater

The former Leicester City midfielder barely did anything at Stamford Bridge after coming to Chelsea in 2017.

Sarri wanted to get rid of the former Premier League champion last summer, but the transfer did not materialize. Chelsea even had difficulty finding Drinkwater during the winter transfer market earlier this year.

Leaving Stamford Bridge can be logical not only for the club but also for the player. Drinkwater can still benefit the mid-table Premier League team, but not for the Blues.

Willian

Although Willian is considered one of Chelsea’s best winger, it was mostly because the Blues lacked depth in attack.

In fact, Willian had failed to appear at the expected level of the Brazilian international. He is now struggling with injuries and his performance over the past few years.

Under Sarri, Willian cannot show impressive performance. The player has been involved in eight goals and the record equals Pedro’s achievements which have been difficult to start this season.

Therefore, Chelsea must look for an upgrade from Willian in the summer if they want to compete with other top clubs next season and sell the Brazilian will help fund the move.

Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso is one of the important players under Antonio Conte’s leadership. The former Fiorentina defender played a key role in Conte’s tactics, especially in providing support from attack from the wing position.

However, the Spaniard struggled to make a big impact under Sarri, and was less solid in defense and did not contribute much when attacking. Thus, the Blues might want to find a better player at left back.

Alex Sandro, for example, could be an attractive target for West London giants because they must be a stronger team to challenge the title next season.
