Tigers Announce Farewell to Dendi and Xepher

Tigers Announce Farewell to Dendi and Xepher

One of the teams that had shocked Dota 2 in the world, Tigers returned to changing players. They officially parted ways with Kenny “Xepher” Deo and Danil “Dendi” Ishutin.

Previously, Xepher had joined Tigers even when he was still named TNC Tigers ahead of the International 2018 open qualification. Meanwhile, Dendi went to Tigers on loan from Natus Vincere since late January.

In the announcement on the fanpage, Dendi said he was grateful to have the opportunity to be able to play with Tigers.

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be able to play in the SEA region with Tigers. This is a great and fun experience.

But the results were not very good and I decided to look for something new. I hope you can achieve success and achieve the desired goal, “said Dendi while on the fanpage.

Dendi’s presence successfully brought Tigers to the second place in the Spring Cup BTS: SEA and the second place in the 2019 Cobx Masters held in India.

Unfortunately, despite fighting in the MDL Disneyland Paris Major and OGA Dota PIT Minor qualifications, Dendi failed to bring Tigers to the main event.

Whereas Xepher, who has been with Tigers for a long time, is a player who has contributed to bringing the team to be one of the teams that are being watched out in the SEA region.

The presence of the former Rex Regum Qeon player successfully led Tigers to become SEA 2018 champions, DreamLeague Season 10 champions, and ranked 13-16 at the Kuala Lumpur Major.

Since January 2019, after won the DreamLeague Season 10, Tigers’ performance has declined. The first surprise began with the departure of the mainstay midlaner Inyourdream, then Ah Jit followed and moved to Mineski. The loyalist MoonMeander went suddenly to play back in his native region, North America.

Here are the remaining Tigers players:

  • Tho “458” Trinh Van
  • Kim “Velo” Tae-sung
  • Theeban “1437” Siva

They claimed they would focus on finding players left by Dendi and Xepher to face the two remaining Dota Pro Circuit tournaments, StarLadder Ukraine Minor and EPICENTER Major 2019.

They had tried AbraXas and Poloson at Betway Asian Dota 2 League. Unfortunately, they had to settle for being ranked fourth after the defeat of Team Aster. It is not yet known whether the two players are filling in vacant positions on the team.

Will the team that had become the minor champion shine again in the two remaining DPC tournaments?
