It was really a great start of season by Andy Murray. He has taken the first trophy of this season without even playing the match. Novak Djokovic was withdrawn from the final match in Abu Dhabi as he was caught by illness. The trophy was then taken by Andy Murray. Novak is the number one tennis champion and on Friday he played a fine game in semi finals of Mubadala World Tennis Championship with Stan Wawrinka. Novak then revealed on Saturday that he is really not feeling well and is suffering from cold. He then handed over the title to Andy Murray. Novak said, “I’ve been sick today with a fever and I’m not fit to play”. Novak was sad over it but he was supposed to hand over the trophy.
With the withdrawn of Novak, the title of Abu Dhabi was given to Andy Murray. Andy Murray appeared to be in a good form. Feliciano Lopez was beaten by Andy Murray during round one and then he just swept Rafael Nadal by 6 – 2 6 – 0 during semi finals played on Friday. Unfortunately, Andy Murray felt some pain in his left shoulder. The pain was felt by him during his win over Nodal by 6 – 2 6 – 0. In regard to this pain, Andy Murray said, I don’t know exactly what happened. I’ve never had anything happen to my left shoulder before. It’s pretty sore and at the end of the match when I was reaching out to sign autographs it was quite painful. I’m going to have an ultrasound scan to check and see if there’s anything there or not then I’ll see what happens after that.” Now it is totally dependent on the reports of scan. If the scan does not show any sort of shoulder issue then only in that case Andy Murray will continue playing for Australian Open at Hopman Cup which will be played at Perth next week.
On Monday, Andy Murray will join Heather Watson for representing Great Britain. This will take place at the mixed team event. The opening match will also be played on Monday against France.
Now hope for the best that the reports from the scan come normal because only then his fans will see playing at Perth. Fingers are crossed. We are looking forward to Andy Murray for winning more awesome titles this season too. Hope he gets well soon!
