Chongqing Major is Valve’s second major major title and has carried out its qualification round. This time the SEA region presented two teams that qualified for the next round, namely Fnatic and TNC Predator. Fnatic became the first Dota 2 team to qualify for the Chongqing Major after defeating TNC Predator. The second team to qualify for the Major was TNC Predator.
The SEA qualification itself took place on 25-27 November 2018 yesterday. Some names also colored the qualifying rounds, such as BOOM ID from Indonesia and also the Dota 2 Indonesia champion who strengthened the Tigers team.
The greatness of TNC and Fnatic has indeed been the best for the SEA region itself, because indeed they are a major or minor subscription.
The steps of the two teams are not much different, they are unbeaten since the group stage, for Fnatic themselves they are unbeaten to qualification.
As for TNC, he had to do a rematch to ensure his team qualified by fighting Mineski’s team in the final lower bracket.
Even so, Tigers of the minor champion DreamLeague Season 10 were unable to do much in the group stages. Even they lost from BOOM ID.
Meanwhile, BOOM ID was able to advance to the playoffs with TNC, Mineski and also Fnatic. You could say, BOOM ID slowly has the status as a scary team despite changing the roster arrangement
Mineski himself suffered a defeat in the final round after the arrival of the substitute namely pieliedie. They are not able to do much in front of Fnatic with a fairly compact roster.
Indeed, Mineski has a problem using the new roster despite taking on the Dota 2 Asia Championship major champion status. With the presence of pieliedie they can be said to appear less than optimal.
Had defeated BOOM ID, in fact Mineski’s fleet was still far from the previous level when it was still defended by a great retainer in the SEA region.
While Fnatic can be said to get an easy victory. Because, they won a fairly easy victory with the arrival of Iceiceice and Jabz.
Qualifiers for the remainder of the regions will be done by Friday. Chongqing Major 2019 itself will carry the same format as the 2018 Kuala Lumpur Major. They will bring a total prize of US $ 1,000,000 and DPC points of 15,000.
This second major from Valve also leaves a slot for the minor champion in Bucharest Minor 2019. Who will advance to the minor round? Will BOOM ID be able to repeat the same steps as Tigers?
