Finally the first player Novak Djokovic has reached the semi finals for ATP Finals Tournament 2014. The top ranked player Novak Djokovic knocked down Tomas Berdych and made his way towards semi finals. Novak has topped among other players in Group A and has made three wins. On Saturday, Novak will be playing his semi final match against Kei Nishikori. On the other hand Tomas Berdych, 29 years old, from Czech has defeated 17 matches out of 19 against Novak. Tomas Berdych is pretty much disappointed over his defeat against Djokovic. On the wonderful entry of Novak in semi finals, the former top ranked British tennis player Tim Henman said, “I’m keeping my fingers crossed we see Federer versus Djokovic in the final – that would be a fitting end. Some of the tennis we’ve seen from those two has been as good as I’ve ever seen.”
In the match against Tomas Berdych, during the first set of game, Novak rolled down the game within 31 minutes in the first set. In second set of the match, Novak made a clear 4 – 0. 83% of the points were already taken by Novak during the first set of game and then 70% of the points were grabbed by him in the second set. It was really an amazing match played by Novak. The match took place for 69 minutes and after winning Novak grabbed the title of being at the top rank for the third time in his complete tennis career. On his great performance definitely one of the best, obviously I hoped I could continue the way I played in the first two matches. It’s been a long year, a long season, it’s an incredible achievement and I want to thank my team and my family and all the people who supported me. I’m aware that being number one in the world is the biggest challenge a tennis player can have. It’s an incredible feeling and I’m very happy.” After winning the match and getting into the semi finals, this has made the top ranking player much more pleased and also very contented. Furthermore, it has been predicted that the final match of ATP Finals Tour Tournament would be played between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Personally, I think that Andy Murray has also some golden chances for reaching the semi finals. Now let’s see out of four top players from the semi finals, which two will make their way towards the big day i.e. final of ATP Tour.
