Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos, responded to Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. Kroos hopes that Klopp will make a contribution to German football in the future.
Yes, Klopp has indeed decided to leave the Reds – Liverpool’s nickname – at the end of this season. Obviously this is a surprising decision, especially for Liverpool fans.
The reason is, Klopp is quite consistent in bringing Liverpool to become one of the strongest teams in Europe. Plus, this German tactician was successful in bringing the Reds to several championship titles, including the English League and Champions League.
Responding to Klopp’s decision, Kroos admitted that the former Borussia Dortmund coach was a great coach. In fact, according to him, Liverpool is lucky to be led by a coach of Klopp’s caliber.
“Congratulations to whoever can recruit Klopp now,” said Kroos, reported by Football Espana, Thursday (1/2/2024).
Kroos respects Klopp’s choice, regardless of what was behind his decision to leave. However, he hopes that the 56 year old coach can contribute to football in his country, Germany.
“He deserves to take this decision alone, he is a very intelligent person who understands the meaning of the moment and time. “If he thinks now is the time, then simply: chapeau (take off your hat),” he said.
“As German football fans, we can only hope that one day we can convince him to take on any role in Germany. This is what we have wanted for years,” hoped Kroos.
It is possible that Klopp will coach the German national team one day. However, it is not yet known for certain where the 56 year old coach will continue his career as a coach.
