Tottenham Hotspur party goal against Burnley 5-0 in the Premier League. Harry Kane performed brilliantly by contributing a pair of goals plus one assist.
In the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday (7/12/2019), the home team appeared very aggressive since the early minutes. As a result, Tottenham immediately ahead three goals in the first round. Kane, Lucas Moura, and Son Heung-min respectively went into the Clarets goal.
After the break, two other goals were created by Tottenham each through Kane and Moussa Sissoko.
This victory marked the rise of the Spurs after bending Manchester United 1-2 in the middle of the week. Thanks to three additional points, Tottenham climbed to fifth place in the Premier League standings with the acquisition of 23 points six points adrift of Chelsea in the last four.
While Burnley dropped to 13th place with 18 points, only three points from Southampton in the relegation zone.
Spurs created a good start after opening the advantage in the fourth minute. From Son Heung-min’s short shot, Harry Kane fired a hard shot directed from outside the penalty box that pierced Burnley’s goal. Tottenham lead 1-0.
Excellence does not make Tottenham’s aggressiveness decrease. Only five minutes later, the home team managed to double the score to 2-0.
Son run from the left side into the penalty box before firing in a horizontal shot which was pushed over by keeper Nick Pope. The ball rebounds creating chaos in front of goal, Lucas Moura struck the ball from close range.
Moussa Sissoko made a golden opportunity to score Tottenham’s third goal. Son’s pass frees Sissoko so that only deal with Pope. However, Sissoko’s settlement was not good enough to the goal post.
A golden opportunity was thrown back by the Spurs. In collaboration with Son, Dele Alli can be able to dribble. However, Alli was rushed by the opponent even though Son was waiting in a good position.
In the midst of the opponent’s invasion, Burnley was finally able to get out of the pressure to carry out dangerous attacks. A pass from the right was welcomed by Robert Brady with a header that beat Paulo Gazzaniga but the ball hit the goal post. The ball rolled into the path of Chris Wood but failed to pass the guard Davinson Sanchez.

The third goal that Spurs sought was finally created in the 32nd minute. From Jan Vertonghen’s pass in the back line, Son takes individual action through the Burnley defense. The South Korean soccer star then finished with a right-footed shot that could not be stopped by Pope. Tottenham are now 3-0 up.
Burnley continued to try to find a goal back. Brady Crossing from the left side gore Rodriguez from the front of the penalty box. The ball deviated slightly from Tottenham’s goal.
Spurs claimed a penalty after Son’s free-kick hit Jeffrey Hendrick’s arm. However, based on the referee VAR’s examination decided not handball. The first half ended, Tottenham’s 3-0 advantage lasted.
After halftime, Tottenham are still exhausted of goal. The fourth goal was created in the 54th minute.
After getting the ball from Alli, Kane dribbled the Burnley defense. The England striker then ended with a hard strike that nested in the top corner of Burnley’s goal. The score is now 4-0 for Tottenham.
The big advantage makes Spurs lower the place despite continuing to build attacks. In the 74th minute, Sissoko cooperated one-two with Kane before ending with a shot at the far post to change the score 5-0.
