Conor McGregor could become part of the WWE thanks to the invitation that Triple H, former wrestler and current manager of the United States wrestling brand. WWE fans believe McGregor will face Finn Balor for the NXT belt at Wrestlemania 37.
The former lightweight UFC champion is a mixed martial arts fighter. However, McGregor likes challenges and for the same reason he has tried other disciplines, such as boxing.
Rumors about the fight between the two Irishmen arose after the fighter uploaded a curious photograph to his social networks.
Balor on the other side, said in an interview with TMZ that he would like the UFC star to have a special appearance in WWE.
The NXT champion recently posted an interesting image featuring the figurines of himself, Triple H and UFC fighter Conor McGregor. This might be Balor’s way of teasing a future match with McGregor.
“I try and keep myself out of rumours, but it is Conor McGregor and the WWE. It’s a huge coup for the WWE. Without a doubt the biggest sports star in the world right now,” Balor told The Sun.
“He would bring a huge amount of eyes to our product, which would benefit everyone in WWE. If I was given the opportunity to get in the ring beside Conor, or across the ring to face him, it would be huge for me. It would be a very interesting scenario at WrestleMania.
“I sincerely hope they are not rumors. I hope there’s an opportunity for a story to emerge. We’re all looking forward to having Conor at WrestleMania,” Balor added.
Wrestlemania 37 will take place on April 10 and 11, 2021 at Raymond James Stadium, which a few weeks ago hosted Super Bowl LV.
Riddle, Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and Bobby Lashley are some of the stars who have participated in both the WWE and the UFC.
