Tundra Esports will not participate in the upcoming $1,000,000 tournament from Bucharest, Romania.
According to PGL, the tournament organiser, Tundra failed to meet several deadlines for registering a valid roster due to visa issues. This happened only a week after Tundra finally picked up some steam and placed third at ESL One Birmingham. Last week in the UK, it was the first time Tundra reached the finals day of a tournament with the new roster.
Unfortunately for Tundra and their fans, Season 1 of PGL Wallachia is now out of reach. The tournament is bound to kick off at the PGL Studios this coming Friday, May 10, 2024, and another Western European representative will be taking Tundra’s spot.
OG were the runners up in the WEU qualifiers, however, the team couldn’t confirm their participation either. Therefore, the spot went to MOUZ, the third placed team in the qualifier battle.

PGL Wallachia Season 1 is the first event planned in a three-year plan from PGL that includes eight Dota 2 tournaments, each with one million dollars on the line, to be held across 2024, 2025, and 2026. The tournament will run behind closed doors in Bucharest, Romania, with no live audience.
A total of 16 teams will enter the competition for the lion’s share of one million dollars. The tourney starts with all participants placed in a modified Swiss-group stage system. At the end of five rounds of best-of-three series, the top eight will advance to the playoffs, while the bottom half will be eliminated.
