World champion nine times Valentino Rossi claims that he is fit to contest in Mugello circuit. However, even if the pain seems to be present and the results are not so good. Rossi has closed less than seven tenths of the leader of the day and all without painkiller along his contest.
Speaking to media, Rossi talks about his conditions after passed Thursday’s medical check up. “How did this happen? It’s was a difficult day. The Mugello round, with the temperatures, is already a difficult track, even when you are in good shape and I am not.” Rossi told media.
“This morning [Friday], I suffered greatly during accelerations, my right arm hurt when I had to stay glued to the handlebars. I must say I did not expect this problem and it was a nasty surprise.
“I did not take painkillers because when I woke up, I was suffering a little from the shoulde, but I tried not to use anything. After the first free practice session, I visited the guys at Clinica Mobile and were given painkillers.
“In the afternoon, I felt better, which is positive but I had trouble breathing. It is also difficult to make long runs of more than 5 or 6 laps. Friday is always the hardest, then the body gets used and the situation improves.
Yamaha’s Rossi has been declared his fit to take part in the Mugello circuit by FIM Medical Director Dr Giancarlo Di Filippo, Mugello Circuit Chief Medical Officer Dr Remo Barbagli and MotoGP Medical Director Dr Angel Charte.
“But I do not only have physical problems, I also have technical concerns and I hope to improve in both areas. I am not very satisfied with the balance of the bike. The feeling is very similar to that of the first races.” Rossi told.

“I have to think step by step. By tomorrow morning [Sunday], I have to be able to get into the top 10, otherwise things will get complicated. For the race, we will discuss it tomorrow night because now it is difficult to know how far we will improve, whether technically or physically.” the Italian rider added.
