Vinicius Jr. Wants to See Liverpool Bring Their Strongest Squad

Brazilian striker Vinicius Jr said he would like to see Liverpool bring their strongest squad in the final against Real Madrid at the Stade de France, Paris, on Saturday night.

Liverpool’s Thiago Alcantara is struggling with an achilles problem. Fabinho has been out since the victory over Aston Villa on May 10 with a hamstring issue. Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk has been out of action since the FA Cup final and will return to the starting XI.

“I hope they will come out with the strongest squad. We want to offer the best match between the two teams, with all of their best players.” Vinicius said.

“Both will play with 100% concentration. The only goal at the moment is the Champions League.” he added.

Madrid dominated La Liga this season and are chasing their 14th Champions League trophy this weekend.

Liverpool just missed out on the Premier League crown but have secured two domestic cup titles this season and head into the Champions League final.

Vinicius admitted that Real Madrid have watched a lot of Liverpool games during this season.

“Yes, we have watched a lot of Liverpool games. They are a great team with a lot of strength and always work with high intensity. Even so, if we play against them, we are sure. will definitely win,” Vinicius said.

The 21-year-old striker added hat playing in the upcoming final would be a delight for anyone involved, including veteran players.

“Yes, it will be a great match, like all the previous matches in the knockout stages. Liverpool has been interesting for us.” Vinicius said.

“Now we are in a game where every player wants to play. That’s special for anyone, even for players who have played many finals. Hopefully it will be a great match,” he added.
