Bayern Munich have signed German’s striker Sandro Wagner from German Bundesliga club Hoffeinhem. The 30-year-old striker joins Bayern for 13 million euros fee on a two-and-a half year deal keeping him at Allianz Arena until 2020 summer.
The Bundesliga giants are eager to parade their new signing, who completed a medical and will wear the No 2 shirt, and are set to officially announce his arrival in January. Bayern signed Wagner as Lewandowski back up during the game in all competitions, according to reports.
After signing the contract, Wagner said he is very proud to sign back for Bayern: “I am really happy that for me it was a long journey to the finish and I returned to my home town and returned to my home country.”
“I am very happy that the transfer will be completed. Bayern is the best football team in Germany, one of the best in the world. When I got the offer, I didn’t have to think about it for long.” he added.
Meanwhile, Bayern Sports Director Hasan Salihamidzic told will increase the quality of Bayern’s squad alongside his experience before.
“With Sandro Wagner another Germany international joins Bayern. We are confident that Sandro Wagner will further increase the quality of our team through his class and experience,” Salihamidzic said.
Wagner was born in Munich, where his family lives. He spent 11 years in Bayern youth camp, then was promoted to Bayern two teams and first team, he played Bayern on behalf of four Bundesliga.
After joining Duisburg, Bremen, Kaiserslautern, Hertha Berlin and Darmstadt, Wagner joined to Hoffeinheim in 2016 summer.

Wagner made 17 appearances and scored 6 goals 3 assists in all competitions for Hoffeinhem this season. He also made 7 appearances and scored 5 goals for Germany national team since joining the team earlier this year and a move to Bayern should make him a certainty to play in the 2018 World Cup at Russia.
Bayern are still sitting on the top of Bundesliga table standings. They are 11 points clear ahead of Schalke 04 and 13 points of Borrusia Dortmund after playing 17 games this season.
