Weird Celebration of Giving Chest Bump, Ronaldo Praises Torino Goalkeeper

Cristiano Ronaldo praised Salvador Ichazo after pitting his chest with the Torino goalkeeper’s chest, at Juventus against Torino, in the 2018/2019 Italian League match at the Olimpico Grande Torino Stadium on Saturday (15/12).

Ronaldo himself became the hero of the Old Lady’s victory thanks to the only goal through a penalty in the 70th minute. The referee punished Torino for a penalty after the home team goalkeeper Salvador Ichazo brought down Mario Mandzukic in the penalty box in the 69th minute.

Ichazo is a reserve goalkeeper who came on for Salvatore Sirigu in the 21st minute because of an injury.

Ronaldo again became the executor of the penalty. The Portuguese star player managed to score a goal through a white spot kick in the 70th minute. The goal wasn’t a surprise for anyone who follows Serie A, both in terms of who scored it and where it came from. But Ronaldo’s celebration afterword was a bit puzzling.

CR7 returned to create a sensation with celebration. After scoring, instead of running to the corner to do his “Siii” celebration, Ronaldo ran toward the goal and gave Ichazo a bit of a chest bump and not particularly a friendly one. Ronaldo clearly sizes up Ichazo before bumping into him completely unnecessarily. He then surrounds himself by teammates so other Torino players can’t confront him about the incident.

As a result, Ronaldo received a yellow card from the referee for being considered to overreact and provoke opponents. The Torino players did get annoyed with the action of the former Real Madrid player even though there was no commotion.

Ronaldo himself praised the action of the Torino reserve keeper who almost thwarted his penalty goal.

“He did well by reaching his hand to the ball, but I kicked him very hard and the ball came in. That was the most important thing,” Ronaldo told DAZN quoted from Italian Football.

A total of 11 goals scored by Ronaldo, three of which came from the execution of penalties for the Old Lady. CR7’s goal also marked Juve’s other record. He scored the 5,000th Bianconeri in the Serie A.

“I am happy, but the most important thing is to bring the team to victory,” explained Ronaldo commenting on his record.

Ronaldo himself complained about the quality of the field which he said was bad. Conditions that make him make a very bad kick from a flat bait free kick released by Miralem Pjanic.

Ronaldo’s kick deviated away from the Torino goal in the eighth minute and the ball produced a throw-in for the opposing team.

“It was a difficult match and the pitch was bumpy, very uneven,” he said.
