Manchester United was smothered by West Ham in the match of the ninth week of the Premier League 2024/2025 at London Stadium on Sunday (10/27/2024).
Man United enough to dominate the match in the first round. In the second half West Ham gave a more fierce resistance.
West Ham’s goals scored by Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen. Meanwhile Man United’s goal was produced by Casemiro.
These results make Man United continue to collect 11 points from nine matches and now go down to 14th place in the Premier League 2024/2025 standings. While West Ham rose to rank 13 with a collection of 11 points.
West Ham and Manchester United pressed each other as the game began. But MU got a golden opportunity first.
In the first minute Bruno Fernandes could steal the ball from the opponent and give an operand to Alejandro Garnacho. But the ball kick still hit the crossbar.
In the eighth minute Garnacho could penetrate the West Ham penalty box after getting Bruno’s clever pass. Unfortunately the ball kick on the left hallspace widened from the target.
In the 31st minute the golden opportunity was obtained by Man United. Diogo Dalot escaped an offside trap to welcome Bruno’s long pass. He entered from the right flank to the penalty box and made it through the goalkeeper.
Unfortunately even though the goal was not guarded, the ball of Dalot kicks instead soar from the target.
MU’s 40th minute almost scored. From a corner on the right side, the ball can actually be headed by West Ham players on the near post. But the ball drove to the far pole and almost entered if it did not hit the crossbar.
In the end the first round match ended without a goal. West Ham 0-0 Manchester United.
In the second half, West Ham played better. They are also more aggressive.
West Ham and Man United then competed with each other. The duel went more exciting.
West Ham was finally able to score a goal. In the 73rd minute they could steal the ball in the middle of the field. The ball is then controlled by Bowen and is passed on Ings, which immediately takes off the shot but is not perfect. The ball was chased by Crysencio Summerville on the far pole and he managed to kick the ball into the goal. 1-0!
But Manchester United then scored a goal in the 80th minute. They broke down West Ham’s goal from Casemiro’s header, using a Zirkzee header. 1-1!
But then MU got a disaster. In the 90th minute+2 West Ham got a penalty after checking VAR, De Ligt was considered dropped in the forbidden box. The execution was then carried out by Jarrod Bowen. 2-1!
MU then tried to suppress West Ham’s defense. But instead the Hammers got the opportunity from a counterattack, which fortunately did not produce a goal.
In the end, no additional goals were created in the rest of this fight. West Ham 2-1 Manchester United.
