Dillian Whyte is expecting a tough fight as he faces a challenge to face Colombian Oscar Rivas on July 20 at the O2 Arena. The 31-year-old British heavyweight, who is ranked # 1 by the WBC, will put his status on the line as he heads the bill in London against Oscar Rivas, who stopped Bryant Jennings in the 12th round of their clash, last January.
Whyte is confident that Rivas will be in trouble and that he will go to the ground at some point in the duel.
“He is a hard boxer to fight. He comes from Colombia and it is not easy to live there. I’m sure he had to go through ups and downs. I expect him to be confident that he will try to confront me in the ring, “said Whyte via Sky Sports.
“He’s going to come into the lion’s den, he’s going to come into my hunting ground, and once you come to my hunting ground, you become a prey.
“Hess going to try to knock me out, and I’m definitely going to try to defeat him as well. All those I fought have either visited the carpet, or they have been knocked out, or they have been hurt at some point, so I will once again have to rise to the occasion and prove it to me, but it’s a good thing. Any good thing does not happen easily.

“It was a great victory, a very good victory. I have already watched the fight. At that moment, he was not even considered an opponent. Bryant Jennings is a very good guy, and he was roughed up and dominated at the end of the fight.
“He is hungry, he fought very hard, he fought very well, and he was very aggressive in the fight. It’s a very risky fight. Oscar Rivas is the most dangerous rival of the lot,” Whyte added.
