German national team finally managed to achieve a dramatic 2-1 victory over Sweden in a match that took place at the Fisht Sochi Stadium, Saturday night. Toni Kroos’s beautiful free-kick at the end of the second half gave Germany a 2-1 win over Sweden.
Coming from behind 0-1 in the first half, Joachim Loew’s lead squad got up early in the second half with quick scoring by Marco Reus in the 48th minute. Score was changed to 1-1. Reus scored a goal using the left foot utilizing a pass from Mario Gomez from the left side.
Goals to Sweden’s goal is Marco Reus’s first goal in the World Cup or 10th goal with the German national team. The goal was the first for Reus after more than three years. The last time Reus scored for Germany in the 2016 European Cup qualifier against Georgia.
Reus almost scored his second goal in the game to turn things around in the 61st minute. Joshua Kimmich cross from the right side failed to convert into goals by Reus. The Borussia Dortmund striker intends to score with the heel, but his effort is not hit the ball.
Germany again threatened the Swedish goalkeeper in the 72nd minute. Timo Werner managed to stab into the penalty box from the left side and release the bait. The ball directly blocked Andreas Granqvist. Sweden’s central defender was almost scored an own goal. Luckily there was Swedish goalkeeper Robin Olson who immediately denied the ball from his partner’s reflection.
The 76th minute, turn to Emil Forsberg who threatened German goal through a kick from outside the penalty box, but the ball can still be caught by Neuer. Germany back to get a golden opportunity in the 81st minute. Werner’s kick welcomes a horizontal cross from Joshua Kimmich’s right-hand side still bouncing over Sweden’s goal.
Der Panzer had to play with 10 men in the 83rd minute after Jerome Boateng got a second yellow card or a red card for a foul on Marcus Berg.
Berg is a player who often threatens the German defense with bait and control of ball is very good. Just Boateng expelled by referee, Sweden got a golden opportunity through Andreas Grangvist header in the penalty box. Header that leads to the German goal is still able handle by Neuer.

Germany finally able to win dramatically through a very beautiful free-kick goal released by Toni Kroos in the five minutes extra time in the second half. Being on the right of the penalty box, he aimed his kick towards the far post and nested into the Olsen goalkeeper. Toni Kroos goal was at once a redeemer error in the first half which resulted in the German goal conceded.
