World Cup Group B, England beat Iran with a landslide score of 6-2

The England national team managed to start the Qatar 2022 World Cup event with a convincing victory over Iran.

Unmitigated, the Three Lions squad won with a score of 6-2.

The England vs Iran match was presented in the inaugural Group B match at the Khalifa International Stadium, Monday night 21 November 2022.

In this match, Bukayo Saka scored two goals for England.

Meanwhile, the other four goals were scored by Jude Bellingham, Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish.

England has immediately created opportunities in the 3rd minute. Gareth Southgate’s squad get a corner.

Kieran Tripper sent the ball into the penalty box. However, Harry Maguire felt dropped by Roozbeh Cheshmi while trying to welcome the bait.

However, the referee and the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) did not consider it a violation.

In the 8th minute, Iran’s goalkeeper, Alireza Beiranvand had an incident after he collided with his own partner Majid Hosseini.

The two clashed after managing to block Harry Kane’s cross.

After receiving several treatments for his nose, Beiranvand could not continue the fight and was replaced by Seyed Hossein Hossein.

The British then continued their domination. In the 28th minute, Bukayo Saka tried to threaten with a long-range shot.

But his efforts were still too weak to easily secure Hossein Hossein.

Two minutes later, Saka again threatened England. His pulling bait from the right can be struck by Mason Mount, but his shot is still narrowly wide.

Golden opportunity present for England in the 32nd minute. Maguire can welcome a corner with a header.

Unfortunately his header has not produced results because it hit the post.

England finally broke the deadlock in the 35th minute.

Luke Shaw’s cross from the left was headed by Jude Bellingham before breaking into the left corner of the Iranian goal. England winning 1-0

The squad nicknamed the Three Lions Team was able to double the lead to 2-0 in the 43rd minute.

Receiving the rebound from Maguire’s header, Saka fired a powerful shot from inside the penalty box that Hossein was unable to stop.

Britain continues to pound Iran. Through a quick attack, Kane released a bait from the left side.

This bait was successfully grabbed by Raheem Sterling with a first time kick into a goal. England is getting away 3-0.

In the 62nd minute, England won 4-0 thanks to Saka’s goal. Receiving a pass from Sterling.

The Chelsea striker stabbed into the middle from the right before firing a low shot which Hossein failed to stop.

Iran could reply in the 65th minute. Ali Gholizadeh released a cross which was continued by Mehdi Taremi.

Taremi made a hard shot that hit Pickford’s goal. Position became 4-1.

England again widened the difference in the 71st minute.

New-come Marcus Rashford received a pass from Kane, he turned Sadegh Moharrami with his first touch before finishing off the attack with a left-foot shot.

The score changed to 5-1 in favor of England.

England lowered the intensity of the attack in the last 15 minutes of action.

However, they could add one goal in the 89th minute.

Callum Wilson managed to escape the offside trap. He then played the ball to Jack Grealish.

Grealish also successfully completed it to become England’s sixth goal.

Iran could score a second goal towards the end of the match.

Iran was awarded a penalty after Taremi was pulled away by John Stones and Eric Dier while trying to welcome a cross.

The referee had time to review the VAR before finally pointing to the spot.

Taremi, who took the penalty, was able to outwit Jordan Pickford to make the score 2-6.

The goal ended the match at the same time. England has the right to pocket three points.

This victory led England to lead the Group B standings with three points.

Meanwhile, Iran is in the lowest position with no points yet.
