British giant club, Manchester United has just announced its new player in the 2023 winter transfer market. The player in question is Wout Weghorst to sharpen the Red Devils’ attack line.
The Dutch striker is on loan from Burnley until the end of the 2022-2023 season. This was known through the official Manchester United website, Saturday (14/1/2023).
“Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Wout Weghorst has joined the club on loan from Burnley until June 2023,” read an official Manchester United statement, quoted on Saturday (14/1/2023).
Previously, Manchester United struggled to get Wout Weghorst’s signature. Because Besiktas, the club that borrowed Wout Weghorst from Burnley reportedly did not want the player to leave.
But for now, Wout Weghorst has finally officially been released and has joined Manchester United. The 30-year-old player is also very happy to be able to defend The Red Devils -Manchester United’s nickname.
“I am honoured to be joining Manchester United. I have played against the club in the past and it feels great now to have the opportunity to pull on the famous red shirt,” said Weghorst.
Wout Weghorst says he can’t wait to play under Erik Ten Hag. The Dutch national team striker is ready to lead Manchester United to achieve various targets this season.
“I have watched United progress under Erik ten Hag this season and can’t wait to start playing my part in pushing the team towards its goals,” Weghorst added. “Whatever happens in the next few months, I promise I will give everything for the club while I’m here.”
