Jose Mourinho is Still Not Satisfied, Despite His Success at The Top of The Standings

AS Roma coach, Jose Mourinho, commented on his team’s appearance in the 2021-2022 European Conference League. Even though he finally managed to top the Group C standings and become group winners, Mourinho was not satisfied.

The reason is that Mourinho admitted that he was not completely satisfied with the results of the latest matches that his team got in the 2021-2022 European Conference League. Faced with CSKA Sofia at the Vasil Levski National Stadium, on Friday (10/12/2021), AS Roma won narrowly with a score of 3-2.

AS Roma was actually able to lead 2-0 in the first half, plus 3-0 in the second half. However, 15 minutes before the game ended, the Roma conceded two goals.

“We can’t keep creating problems for ourselves,” said an annoyed Mourinho, quoted by Football Italia, Friday (10/12/2021).

“How can we win 2-0 for 45 minutes, then lose the ball over and over and sit too deep. The two goals we conceded are unacceptable,” added Mourinho.

Roma’s only joy is seeing the success of securing three points over CSKA Sofia. Because thanks to this victory, they came out as winners of Group C and had the right to qualify directly for the round of 16.

The success of Rome being at the top of the standings can not be separated from the draw of Bodo / Glimt and Zorya. He thanked Zorya because with a draw, Bodo/Glimt had to settle for sitting in the runner-up position and had to go through the playoffs.

“I’m just happy because we won and Zorya did their job, but that’s the only thing that made me happy tonight,” added Mourinho.

The only satisfaction felt by the former Inter Milan coach was the goal scored by Borja Mayoral. Because the player has shown a good performance with an extraordinary goal.

“He (Mayoral) is one of the players who looks good. The goal is beautiful, on the other hand I also like the hard work he does. not surprised, because the player always works hard.”
