2014 FIBA World Cup Quarterfinals Serbia wins against Brazil

Madrid was on fire tonight! The whole drama took place just minutes before this very moment. On the court of Madrid, FIBA World Cup, Quarterfinals and a game between Brazil and Serbia.

Brazil is counting with some of the most fierce basketball players and their team is well-known to be a proud team who will not hesitate to leave its’ heart on the floor in order to win. If you want to triumph in a game against Brazil you will have to give 110% of your possibilities and still hope for the best. That’s what’s have been told about their team so far and also, that is what we experienced and witnessed in the matches that have passed in the FIBA World Cup 2014.

Earlier this week, on Tuesday, Verajao, Brazilian basketball player, affirmed for papers that his team has come to Spain to bring the title back home with them.

“We are aware of the fact that this is going to be tough game. Serbia has a team and we were preparing ourselves for this game. We came here to fight for the title, we know what we want, and that is play good and win against Serbia. I believe that if we do our best we have a solid chance to win this game”, affirmed Verajao.

“I am expecting a game tougher than it was in the group, for Serbia is playing each time better as they are passing from one phase to another. Their most important players have gained confidence, they play better and it will be harder, especially after the game they has shown against Greece. All the players are giving their best and they have a lot of energy, especially Bogdan Bogdanovic, Milos Teodosic, Nemanja Bjelica and the others…”.

The surprise was yet to come when Serbian players showed exactly what were the brazilian players afraid of. A fantastic game, with many shots from behind the line, three-point shots were everywhere and they were brilliant in defense. Among all the Serbian players Milos Teodosic was undoubtfully the best with 23 points and Bogdan Bogdanovic had 12 points. On the other side, Anderson Verajao had 12 points as well as Vieira and Alex Garcia scored 8 points.

After the brilliant game that both teams have shown no one really expected a victory of +28 points for Serbia. Brazilians are going home without a title, and Serbian team showed that they are mature enough to play big!
