2022 World Cup Logo Launched in Qatar

Recently, Qatar 2022 World Cup logo was introduced to the public on Tuesday (03/09/2019) in Doha, Qatar. The 2022 World Cup logo consists of two colors, namely maroon and white that match the national flag of the Qatar flag. The logo that resembles the number 8 represents 8 stadiums which will be used at the 2022 World Cup and also resembles a World Cup trophy. The logo on the words “Qatar 2022” shows the existence of local Arabic culture.

Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup. Qatar was chosen as the co-host with the 2018 World Cup host election won by Russia on December 2, 2010. Qatar eliminated other candidates, namely the United States, Japan, South Korea and Australia. Qatar became the first organizer of the World Cup in the Middle East region and second on the Asian Continent. Previously, the World Cup was first held on the Asian Continent in 2002 in Japan and South Korea. Qatar World Cup 2022 is different from the previous organizing.
