Man United Hold Crystal Palace Draw in the Premier League

Manchester United failed to rise in the English Premier League competition after being held to draw 0-0 against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford Stadium on Saturday (24/11).

Man United had to settle for one point at home after failing to win when entertaining Crystal Palace in Week 13 of the Premier League.

These results make the Red Devils failed to rise in the Premier League after the previous match lost 1-3 to Manchester City in the Manchester Derby.

The host had a good chance to excel first in the first half. It’s just that Jesse Lingard’s utilizing Romelu Lukaku’s pass to be blocked by the defender of Crystal Palace. Likewise with the efforts of Anthony Martial after receiving a Nemanja Matic cross pass in the fifth minute. After controlling, a ball that was previously mastered by Martial could be thrown away by Crystal Palace defender.

Crystal Palace which was previously beaten by Man United could actually lead ahead of first half. It’s just that Cheikhou Kouyate’s header in the 43rd minute from a free kick lodged in David de Gea’s goal was annulled by the referee. Because the position of Kouyate is offside first.

In the second half, Jose Mourinho’s side did not relax their attack. Pressure continues to be given to the Palace defense. However, a kick from Ashley Young can be anticipated by goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey. Likewise with a header from Lukaku who was again confronted by the defender.

Palace’s defense line appeared solid in this match. The fort that was escorted by Mamadou Sakho and his friends also dampened the effort of Marcus Rashford in the 90th minute. Both teams ended the match with glasses result.

Jose Mourinho again launched a scathing comment on his team, Manchester United, saying that his team did not have the intensity and desire against Palace.

Quoted by Fox Sports Asia, Mourinho often appears disappointing throughout this season. Mourinho was frustrated by the lack of transfer activity and he was not impressed with the play of his men during the match against Palace.

“Bad results, there is no good chance to secure victory,” said Mourinho.

“I think Crystal Palace deserves praise, they came for this (a draw) and they got it and fought for the results and gave everything for the results,” added Mourinho.

Mourinho also commented on the performance of the players.

“But I think we also have to blame ourselves for this result. We found a gap by analyzing the opposing players and we trained the players and brought these ideas to the match. We found that,” Mourinho said.

“But there is not enough intensity and desire. You have to play with your mind and heart and in my opinion there is still a lack of playing with the heart,” he added.
