Manchester United (MU) successfully beat Arsenal with a score of 3-1 in the FA Cup fourth round match which was held at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday (1/26).
The first goal was shot by Sanchez successfully tearing Petr Cech’s goalpost in the 31st minute thanks to a breakthrough pass from Romelu Lukaku. Only two minutes later, Lukaku’s assist was again successfully executed as a goal by Lingard in the 33rd minute. The Gunners managed to minimize the lag thanks to goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang successfully tore goalkeeper Sergio Romero smoothing bait by Alexandre Lacazette. A 2-1 score for Manchester United’s advantage lasted until halftime. Entering the second half, host coach, Unai Emery, included two players at once, namely Matteo Guendouzi and Mesut Ozil who each replaced Laurent Koscielny and Alex Iwobi.
While from the visitors’ side, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pulled Sanchez and Lukaku out to be replaced by Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. In the 82nd minute, Martial successfully extended United’s lead to 3-1. A Martial goal was created thanks to the vomit of Paul Pogba’s shot which Cech pushed over.
The Red Devils victory lasted until the long whistle signaled the end of the match.
Manchester United’s interim coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, was pleased with the success of his team’s win over Arsenal in the FA Cup fourth round.
This victory makes Manchester United entitled to qualify for the fifth round. This victory was the eighth time the Red Devils won in a row with temporary coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was happy with Man United’s performance.
“Tonight we have defeated one of the favorites (champions), and if you want to win this tournament you need one or two decent performances,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said, quoted by BolaSport.com from the club’s official website.
“Today’s match is one of our fantastic performances. It would be nice to get a home game draw in the next round,” Solskjaer said.
What Solskjaer stated was indeed very reasonable. Because Arsenal currently holds the status as the most successful team in the FA Cup with a collection of 13 trophies. While Man United is only 12, so this season is an opportunity for the Old Trafford camp to equal the achievement of the Gunners.
On the other hand, Solskjaer said the fans of the Red Devils also looked extraordinary. He considers that fans can now return to the City of Manchester once again with joy.
