Premier League Results: Manchester United Lost 0-2 to West Ham

Manchester United suffered a 0-2 defeat to West Ham United in the sixth week of the English League which took place at the London Stadium on Sunday (9/22).

Manchester United who appeared with a 4-2-3-1 formation seemed to have more control of the ball early in the first half. Pressure and interception Juan Mata and friends makes the host difficulty getting out of pressure.

Nemanja Matic became the first player to open fire on goal in this match. The ball can still be secured by Lukasz Fabianski who is under the rule of The Hammers.

West Ham can only play the ball more comfortably after the 25th minute. Andriy Yarmolenko and Mark Noble had a chance that ended with the rescue of David De Gea.

Entering the 44th minute, Yarmolenko’s attempt to open fire from inside the penalty box managed to change the score to 1-0. Receiving the ball from Felipe Anderson, Yarmolenko who did not get tight guard then put the ball at the far post and can not be reached De Gea.

After halftime, Manchester United struggled to pursue the benefits of opponents. Two minutes after the second half began, Mata almost equalized after receiving Scott McTominay’s pass.

Manchester United midfielder also had a chance in the 69th minute that was still able to be secured by Fabianski. Another opportunity was found by Jesse Lingard who replaced Marcus Rashford in the second half. Again, Fabianski was able to secure the goal from the visitors’ threat.

In the 83rd minute Ashley Young tackles Noble who has a yellow card and a free kick. Aaron Cresswell, who was the executor of the free kick, managed to get the ball home and put West Ham 2-0 up.

Until referee Anthony Taylor closed the match, West Ham’s two-goal lead was maintained. Manchester United swallowed the second defeat this season and failed to enter the top four zone. It was West Ham, with 11 points, who moved Bournemouth from fourth in the Premier League.
