Tennis News: Surprise doesn’t seem to stop Novak Djokovic and the Adria Tour organizers. In the latest news, Goran Ivanisevic, who is a key component of the Djokovic team, precisely acted as a coach, positively contracting COVID-19.

Coach Goran Ivanisevic wrote, “Unfortunately, after two negative results in the past 10 days, I just find out that I was positively infect with COVID-19, felt fine and also did not experience any symptoms.

Then want to inform everyone who has come in contact with me that I am positive COVID-19 and ask them to look after themselves and their loved ones well. I will continue to isolate myself as I have do and hope all those who are infect will recover soon.”

This certainly became big news after Ivanisevic defended his protege, Djokovic. He even stated, it is not entirely true that everyone was infect on Adria Tour.

In an interview with the New York Times, the Croatian coach Ivanisevic also firmly defended Djokovic.

“The tennis players came to Belgrade and we played well and the atmosphere was pleasant. Everything in Serbia and Croatia is done with the government’s recommendation,” said Ivanisevic.

A number of videos showing Djokovic and other tennis players partying at the nightclub are circulating on social media, but Ivanisevic is talking about individual responsibilities.

“All right, you might not need it. But they are all individuals. No one can force anyone to come to a nightclub. Nobody forces anyone to dance. Nobody tells you to go onstage, open your shirt, and dance,” said Ivanisevic.

“And how did you know that someone was even infected at the party?”

This is currently question taking into account that even Ivanisevic is currently positive COVID-19.

With the number of reliable world tennis players who are positively infect with COVID-19 and it also raises a big question mark about the future of tennis tournaments. Considering the safety of everyone involved, they may face stricter controls. The health of tennis players and fans will certainly be prioritized.
