AC Milan confirmed that Ismael Bennacer has not been called up for the club friendly against OGC Nice as he tested positive for Covid-19 at home this week. However, the player is fine and continues to train at home.
Furthermore all the other AC Milan players tested negative for the swab carried out, including the molecular test performed in view of the mtach against Ligue 1 club Nice.
The club’s statement said Bennacer was not displaying symptomps of Covid-19, and he had entered isolation, away from the rest of Milan’s players.
“It should be noted that Ismael has not had contact with the rest of the team since last Saturday’s friendly against Modena, continues the note from Milan. The team group also tested negative for all the swabs carried out this week, including the molecular in view of the trip to Nice.” Milan said in a statement.
“The local health authorities in charge were quickly informed. The player is doing well and continues to train at home. It is specified that Ismaël has not had any contact with the rest of his teammates since the friendly match last Saturday against Modena.
“The team group also tested negative for all swabs made this week, including the molecular swab in preparation for the away game in Nice.” they added.
Bennacer played 90 minutes against Modena last weekend but was not called up for the trip to France. Milan squad continued their preperations for a friendly macth agasin Nice on Saturday night.
