Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea, revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact on the Red Devils squad has been felt. Ronaldo immediately set up with the current Man United squad . He even immediately recorded four goals from three matches in all competitions.
CR7 also brought the Red Devils to compete in EPL along with Chelsea and Liverpool with identical points (13). In addition to performances on the pitch, the 36-year-old superstar has also made a huge impact in the dressing room.
According to David de Gea, Ronaldo is a hard worker and always active in physical training. He then becomes a positive example for the Man United squad.
“I think the impact is already there. It’s amazing that he’s back home. He’s already a legend at the club. For the players, the young players and everyone, he is a great guy. We see every day how he trains in the gym, how he treats himself and takes care of his own body. He is an extraordinary player and it is a pleasure to see him here every day working hard and helping the team,” explained De Gea.
Previously, Man United’s fourth goalkeeper Lee Grant had also revealed the positive impact of Ronaldo’s existence. Lee Grant said that when he was around Ronaldo, no Man United player dared to eat junk food that was not good for the body.
“This happened on Friday (10/9/2021) night at the team hotel. Usually on Friday nights after dinner we have some extra food. You have apple crumble, brownie with cream or something else,” Lee Grant told on talkSPORT.
“Not a single player touched the apple crumble and custard, no player took the brownie because everyone sat down and one of the players said to me ‘What’s on Cristiano’s plate?’. It’s the cleanest and healthiest plate you can imagine. It makes me confused how no one player dared to stand up and take the junk food that was already available,” said Lee Grant.
Cristiano Ronaldo really maintains a healthy lifestyle. According to a Goal report on June 23, 2021, Ronaldo has a schedule of eating six meals a day in moderate portions. The player with the initials CR7 chooses foods that produce high protein and avoids sweet foods.
In meeting the needs of body fluids, Ronaldo consumes mineral water and avoids soft drinks and alcohol. Ronaldo even got rid of a Coca-Cola bottle during a press conference ahead of the Portugal vs Hungary match at Euro 2020.
