Xavi Hernandez is rumored to be the next Barcelona coach to replace Ronald Koeman. According to El Nacional’s report, Wednesday (13/10/2021), even Xavi Hernandez has asked the Barcelona management to bring in five new players to the Estadio Camp Nou.
A total of five players came from four different positions. Call it two players in the fullback position, one attacking midfielder, one winger and one center forward.
Still, according to El Nacional’s report, Xavi Hernandez needs an attacking midfielder to add creativity to Barcelona’s attack in the final third of the field. Then, Xavi Hernandez needed two fullbacks.
This fullback is expected not only to be strong in defense, but also to be able to help attack. Then for the winger position, look for players who are good at dribbling.
Finally in the center forward position, Barcelona are looking for young players who can be projected for the long term. So, will this request be granted by Barcelona’s management?
Xavi Hernandez himself recently opened up the possibility to handle any club. Before taking the offer, Xavi Hernandez and the team will evaluate it first.
“Every offer will be evaluated and then a decision will be made. I don’t know where the future will take me. But, I am open to anything,” said Xavi Hernandez quoting from Al Jazeera, Wednesday (13/10/2021).
So, what about the fate of Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman? Reportedly, the Dutch coach was given the opportunity until November 2021.
If he fails to lift Barcelona’s performance until November 2021, Ronald Koeman will be kicked out of his position. Currently, Ronald Koeman is in the spotlight. Because, Barcelona is currently stranded in the ninth position of the 2021-2022 Spanish League.
Meanwhile, in the Champions League it was even worse. In the first two group stage matches, Barcelona always lost 0-3 to Bayern Munich and Benfica.
