Liverpool vs Newcastle United: Jurgen Klopp Confirms Firmino Can Play

Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp, gave good news when talking about his squad ahead of facing Newcastle United in the 17th week of the 2021-2022 Premier League. He also stated that Roberto Firmino could return to appear in the match.

As is known, Liverpool will play Newcastle at Anfield Stadium on Friday 17 December 2021. The Reds-Liverpool’s nickname- melakoni this match with slick capital.

Firmino can also play in that match, according to Jurgen Klopp’s confirmation. The German architect said that the Brazilian passport attacker’s condition had improved because he had attended regular training sessions.

“Firmino trained completely normal yesterday, so I would say he came into the game,” said Jurgen Klopp, quoted from the club’s official website, Thursday (16/12/2021).

As is known, the Reds’ mainstay striker -Liverpool’s nickname – has been absent for quite a long time. He got injured while helping his teammates face Atletico Madrid, 4 November yesterday.

Firmino himself suffered a hamstring injury and had to be replaced in the 78th minute at that time. He has been sidelined from the last eight games belonging to the Reds.

On the other hand, Curtis Jones is also said to have improved. However, Klopp cannot confirm whether his players will be available when they host Newcastle at Anfield in tomorrow’s match.

“Curtis had a somewhat partial first session with the team, so he’s not far away (to return),” he added.

The good news also made the former Borussia Dortmund architect happy. The reason is, Klopp really needs a complete squad to face the busy schedule in the upcoming Premier League.

“We need the full squad in busy times and getting two players of this caliber is definitely good news.”
