Cristiano Ronaldo is scheduled to return to England on Tuesday, meet with coach Ten Hag, and formally want to leave Mancheter Rondo right away.
The Portuguese star will have a conversation with Ten Hag and United representatives. He intends to leave Old Trafford this summer, though, and has no plans to sign a new deal.
Ronaldo has been refusing to take part in the pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia since the beginning of the month, citing family obligations. He practiced alone at that time in his hometown of Lisbon.
The 37-year-old striker is keen about leaving since The Red Devils cannot accommodate his desire to play on the Champions League’s top stage.
Ronaldo hasn’t played in the Europa League once in his nearly 20-year career. This competition is viewed as being less prestigious and out of proportion to his quality level and ambition.
United, on the other hand, continues to insist on not selling Ronaldo. While new coach Ten Hag expects Ronaldo to be the team’s main figure next season. They spoke at the end of last season. They haven’t spoken since Ronaldo said he wanted to leave.
Ten Hag never gave up hope. The Dutch manager wants the team’s leading scorer to match his past season’s total of 18 goals in 30 Premier League games. But, for the time being, Cristiano is refusing to respond, making it more difficult for the club to attract top talent.
