Draymond Green has heaped praise on LeBron James as the greatest player in NBA basketball history. The revelation came during the most recent episode of Throwing Bones on the Uninterrupted YouTube channel.
Over this way, the Golden State Warriors star puts LeBron to the level of Michael Jordan, who many consider to be the greatest player of all time.
Hence, Green presented his opinions in the context of the greatest in history debate. He also revealed his all-time ideal quintet.
According to the forward, James beat the greatest team of all time, in his opinion, the 2015/16 Warriors.
At the time, LeBron led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the unprecedented title, after an epic upset over the Californian team. It is important to keep in mind that the Warriors had the best season ever with 73 wins and nine losses.
“So Michael Jordan didn’t beat the greatest team ever assembled. Also, he didn’t face the greatest team of all time. So my top 5 in history has Lebron, Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry and Shaquille O’Neal.” Green said.
James’ legacy in the NBA was the topic of Draymond Green’s final statement. After all, the Lakers’ best player is currently in his twentieth season while continuing to perform at a high level. In fact, Jordan played in 15 seasons, despite changes in the sports world.
“In 2005, LeBron was already the best player in the NBA, and in 2020, he was still the best. LeBron also is the best in history for his legacy. Michael, on the other hand, droped.” Green said.
“Anyway, James was the best in the NBA between 2005 and 2020, played in ten finals and faced the best team in history several times. Michael, on the other hand, always played on the best team.” Green added.
