In the 41st minute, Montpellier almost equalized the score if Wahbi Khazri’s shot was not cleared on the goal line by Pereira who wanted to make amends. However, the score remained 2-2 at the break after Savanier beat Donnarumma from the penalty spot at the end of the first half.
After the break, PSG played aggressively again to hunt for goals. The results were only picked up in the 50th minute. Receiving an escort, Mbappe tried to stay calm before releasing the ball which Dimitry Bertraud was unable to save.
Only three minutes, the position changed again. This time, the 1-2 collaboration between Kolo Muani and Lee was completed no less sweetly by the player from South Korea. PSG lead 4-2!
Mbappe was the star in this match with his hat trick in the 63rd minute. This time, he took advantage of a brilliant cross from Vitinha to put PSG ahead 5-2. The visitors’ goal party was closed by Nuno Mendes in the 89th minute. They won 6-2!
