The Turkish national team defeated the Georgian national team on matchday 1 of Group F Euro 2024 at Signal Iduna Park, Tuesday (18/06/2024).
The 2024 European Cup match is running excitingly. Because both teams attacked each other and created a number of opportunities.
Turkey’s goals were scored by Mert Muldur, Arda Guler and Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu. Meanwhile Georgia’s goal was scored by Georges Mikautadze.
With this result, Turkey is at the top of Group F. Meanwhile, Georgia is at the bottom of the group.
At the start of the first half, both teams immediately attacked each other. However, after a few minutes, Turkey was able to put a little pressure on Georgia’s defense.

At the start of the second half, Turkey played aggressively again. They immediately put pressure on Georgia’s defense.
But Georgia also doesn’t want to lose. They tried to push back led by Kvaratskhelia.
In the 56th minute Turkey threatened from Hakan Calhanoglu’s free kick. From a distance of around 24 meters, he fired a powerful shot that the Georgia posse could not stop. However, the ball was deftly blocked by Giorgi Mamardashvili.
