Stan Wawrinka and Rafael Nadal reach France Open final

Switzerland’s tennis stars Stainslas Wawrinka, came back twice defeat number one World Champion Andy Murray 6-7 (6), 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (3), 6-1 and become the oldest finalist in the competition in 44 years.

A year ago, Murray had been right in Wawrinka in the French ace square. But this time, Wawrinka was able to break Murray, who triple champion in Grand Slam. This duel proved to be the triumph of the attack on the defense, while Wawrinka used his sublime one-handed backhand and powerful forehand to send Murray in all direction for over four and a half hours on the clay of the court Philippe-Chatrier.

Murray stretched and stretched to put his racket in front of balls that seemed at first glance unattainable. He made use of cushioned mats and lobs, often with much success. He forced the third seed to work hard to win the trade.

“We must expect him to return several balls, for sure, even if I was not always happy,”Wawrinka said to media. “We know his game, we know how well he plays well. We must accept it. You must always push yourself to give the maximum.” he added.

Murray had no legs in the last leg. His opponent waon 16 of the first 21 exchanges and forged a 5-0 lead. Wawrinka then won the match very appropriately, with a setback along the line, his 87th win of the day, 51 more than his opponent.

On the other hand, Rafael Nadal confirms his place in the France Open final. He joked when asked about his quest to become first man to win 10 times in the same major tournament.

“I started a little bit more nervous today than normal,” Nadal said after the match. “But then I played well, I think. It’s true that Dominic played with more mistakes than usual. His third set was not good. But at the same time was windy out there, and he didn’t play in the center court before. Probably that was not helping him.

“I do not care about the games or the sets I lost or not. All I care is play well throughout the tournament.” the Spaniard added.
