AC Milan’s at the top of the Italian League 2021-2022 standings. However, the Rossoneri coach, AC Milan’s nickname, Stefano Pioli is reluctant to be fixated on the current position of the Italian League standings.
On the other hand, he is happy that his team is now under great pressure because they are at the top of the standings. This is considered to be able to trigger the spirit of his foster children to fight even more, to maintain the current situation.
As is known, AC Milan is in the top position of the 2021-2022 Italian League standings. They now have 55 points, one point ahead of their closest rivals, who are also half-brothers, Inter Milan.
It’s just that, Inter Milan still has one match in savings. This makes Stefano Pioli not want to be too focused on looking at the standings.
“Given Inter still have games to play, the table conditions are not yet accurate. We have to focus on being able to put on a consistent performance,” said Stefano Pioli on the club’s official website, Saturday (19/2/2022).
Nevertheless, the 56-year-old coach feels proud, his success in bringing AC Milan to the top of the standings, proves that his team can compete so far. However, he still reminded his team that they must continue to play optimally in the remaining matches of the Italian League this season.
“Pressure is a sensation for me. That means we have raised the level of this team to a better position. If you look at the players, I see the positive side. They are full of confidence this season. I know this season will be long and we have to keep doing our best.”
AC Milan itself has the opportunity to add three points. They will face Salernitana at the Stadio Arechi, Sunday (20/2/2022), in the 26th week of the 2021-2022 Italian League. An additional three points, will provide a margin of points with Inter Milan in this standings.
