Alisson Becker Desires to Leave Liverpool

Liverpool seem to have to prepare to find a replacement for Alisson Becker. The reason is, the Brazilian goalkeeper is eager to return to graze in his homeland. Regarding when he will come out, he admits that he doesn’t know yet.

As is known, Alisson Becker was recruited by Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2018. He was brought off with a dowry of 62.5 million Euros. This nominal had made him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world before being broken by Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Since arriving in the summer of 2018, Alisson seems to be the last piece needed in the Liverpool defense. The 28-year-old goalkeeper immediately shifted his two predecessors, Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, until he was willing to leave for another club.

The club has actually tied Alisson with a contract until June 2024. There are still four years until his contract expires, but the goalkeeper who was born in Novo Hamburgo has expressed his desire to leave Liverpool.

“I harbor the desire to return to Brazil. When that happens, God only knows. I know God has a plan. I want to just follow God’s plan, “said Alisson Becker, as quoted by Goal, Thursday (12/11/2020).

“However, my heart’s desire is when I return to Brazil, if God answers it, is to return to Internacional, home, as well as the club I love,” said the 191 centimeter (cm) goalkeeper.

Alisson does have a great love for Internacional. The club which is headquartered in the city of Porto Alegre is where he can pursue a career as a professional footballer. He defended the club where he was born until July 2016 when AS Roma brought him to Europe.

Apart from Internacional, Alisson Becker has also opened doors for other Brazilian professional clubs. Even so, he could have half-heartedly defended these clubs. Because, once again, Internacional is his first love.

“I respect all clubs in Brazil. “I might be able to play for another club, but I don’t know if I can go back to Brazil and not play for Inter,” said Alisson Becker.

“I myself have never made long-term plans. Logically, I have a dream, but my feet are always on the ground and focus on what’s in front of my eyes, “he concluded.
