Allegri Give Signals Guardiola will join Juventus

The consistency and success of Juventus defending the Serie A title and also winning the Supercoppa Italiana seems to not at all make Massimiliano Allegri’s position safe, the Italian manager has even confirmed that he will no longer keep Cristiano Ronaldo and his friends from the upcoming 2019 season. Inevitably, this made the public start speculating about who would become the next club manager

Massimiliano Allegri seemed to signal Pep Guardiola will be the new Juventus coach next season.

The code was given by Allegri when present with former Inter Milan player Giuseppe Bergomi in an event at a restaurant located in Dairago, Milan, Friday (24/5).

Reported by Calciomercato, a fan asked Allegri about who would be the Bianconeri’s new coach. Allegri was later reported to have responded with the answer “a Manchester manager is coming” even though he did not name.

Allegri’s statement strengthens rumors that Guardiola will be the new coach of the team based at the Allianz Stadium. The Spaniard in recent years has continued to be linked with Juventus.

Italian media AGI claims the Turin team will introduce Guardiola on June 14. Guardiola was said to have agreed with Juventus management to replace Allegri.

In fact, the Man City manager is claimed to be receiving a salary of € 28 million per year to deal with Juventus. The coach from Catalonia Spain will sign a four-year contract at Juventus on June 4.

However, the news that Guardiola will move to Juventus was denied by Man City. City Football Group CEO Alberto Galassi said the former Barcelona coach would stay at the Etihad Stadium next season.

“Sorry for the Juventus fan, but they need to find a new coach,” Galassi was quoted as saying by the US.

“As a member of the Man City board, I was very surprised to read so much nonsense,” Galassi added.

In Galassi’s eyes, an agreement between Juventus and Guardiola would not have been possible in a few days and was unknown to Man City.

“[Guardiola] is a great professional. He doesn’t want to go,” Galassi said.

In order to convince these rumors, Galassi had a chance to speak with Juventus Deputy Chairman Pavel Nedved. Galassi and Nedved only laughed at the issue.

“We both realized this problem was ridiculous. I apologized for Juventus fans, but they needed to find another coach. Let Pep enjoy his vacation,” Galassi said.

Guardiola himself is still under contract with Man City until June 2021. In addition beside Guardiola, Juventus are linked with Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino and Maurizio Sarri.
