The management of Manchester United (MU) is now waiting anxiously for the final answer from Christian Eriksen.
As is known, Manchester United are interested in bringing Christian Eriksen to Old Trafford as a free agent this summer.
Eriksen’s contract with Brentford will expire at the end of June 2022. But he has made the decision to leave the Bees.
A recent report claims United have offered the Denmark international a contract.
Moreover, Eriksen is a player favored by Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag.
Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says United are still waiting for Eriksen to make a decision on his future.
Romano also claims Brentford is trying to keep Eriksen. Eriksen has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, but Romano says there is no interest from the Lilywhite.
Earlier this month, Eriksen said he would not rush into making decisions about his future. He remains calm where he will dock next season.
“No (hurriedly), and they know that too. There are many criteria and many different things in such a decision. Sometimes it goes fast in football, other times it’s a little slower. You don’t control it yourself,” Eriksen was quoted as saying by contentPedia from the Sportsmole page.
Eriksen insists he must make the best decision. So he didn’t want to rush it. He claims to know his agent and the agent will contact him immediately if there is something interesting.
Manchester United has the opportunity to get the services of Eriksen. The reason is, the player will consider offers from clubs that do not play in the Champions League.
The Danish attacking midfielder admitted that he had received many offers.
Eriksen impressed in the second half of the 2021/2022 season with Brentford.
The former Tottenham and Inter Milan player scored one goal and four assists in 11 Premier League games.
Eriksen’s career was thought to have ended when he collapsed due to a heart attack at Euro 2020. Now he is fitted with a cardioverter defibrillator. This made him leave Inter and move to Brentford.
It is interesting to wait, will Christian Eriksen succeed in anchoring to Manchester United?
