Arsenal vs Leicester City Result: Score 4-2

Arsenal picked up a dramatic victory in the sixth week of the 2024/2025 Premier League. Facing Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal managed to win with a score of 4-2.

Arsenal managed to take the lead first through Gabriel Martinelli’s goal, a pair of goals from Leandro Trossard and one goal from Kai Havertz. However, Leicester City was able to reduce the score thanks to a pair of goals from James Justin.

Thanks to this victory, Arsenal rose to second place in the 2024/2025 EPL standings with 14 points. Meanwhile, Leicester City had to be satisfied with being stuck in 16th place.

Playing at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal appeared confident. They immediately pressed from the start of the match.

Arsenal’s first dangerous opportunity was scored by Bukayo Saka’s hard shot from outside the penalty box but the ball was secured by Hermansen.

In the 20th minute, Arsenal managed to open the lead over Leicester City. Starting from Timber’s movement on the right side, the defender released a low cross which was snapped up by Martinelli into a goal. The score changed to 1-0 for the home team’s advantage.

Four minutes later, Arsenal almost doubled their lead to 2-0. Receiving a pass from Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli penetrated the penalty box and fired a hard shot, but Hermansen was again able to thwart the opportunity.

A few seconds before the first half ended, Arsenal successfully scored their second goal. Gabriel Martinelli gave a pass to Leandro Trossard who was unmarked and the Belgian striker immediately grabbed the ball with a hard shot and entered the Foxes’ goal. The score of 2-0 closed the first half.

Trailing 2-0 in the first half, Leicester City tried to take the initiative to attack to catch up. The results were sweet because just two minutes into the second half, they reduced the score to 2-1.

Starting from a free kick scheme, Facundo Buonanotte managed to send the ball into the middle of Arsenal’s penalty box and the ball was perfectly headed by James Justin into a goal.

The goal made the match even more intense. Both teams began to trade attacks.

Disaster for Arsenal, in the 63rd minute Leicester City managed to equalize the score to 2-2. Starting from Ndidi’s cross from the left side, the ball that fell in Arsenal’s penalty box was met with a curved volley that went into Raya’s goal.

Having conceded two goals, Arsenal immediately increased the tempo of their attacks. They pounded The Foxes’ defense with their attacks.

However, thanks to Leicester City’s disciplined play and Hermansen’s brilliant action, Leicester City’s goal did not concede again until the end of the match.

However, a few minutes before the end, Arsenal managed to score their third goal. Starting from a corner kick scheme, Leandro Trossard actually wanted to give a pass to Kai Havetz, but the ball hit the Leicester City defender and went into The Foxes’ goal.

A few minutes before the end, Arsenal widened the score to 4-2. Through a counterattack scheme, Raheem Sterling released the ball which was pushed away by Hermansen. However, the rebound hit Kai Havertz and the ball went into The Foxes’ goal. The score of 4-2 ended the course of this match.
