Chelsea Secure Three Points at Stamford Bridge Stadium After Beating Everton

Chelsea managed to secure three points at Stamford Bridge Stadium after beating Everton with a score of 2-0 in the 2020-2021 Premier League match, Tuesday (9/3/2021) early morning WIB. Chelsea’s first goal was contributed by an Everton player who scored an own goal, namely Ben Godfrey and the second goal from Jorginho’s penalty kick.

With that victory, Chelsea became even more confident in fourth place. Meanwhile, Everton had to be stuck in fifth place and failed to overtake Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

First round

Chelsea became the first team to excel in the first half thanks to an own goal from an Everton player named Ben Godfrey. This incident occurred when the match had been running for 31 minutes.

The start of an own goal started from the foot of Marcos Alonso who gave Kai Havertz a strong pass. Fortunately the ball was able to stream Havertz towards the Everton goal well.

However, at that moment there was Godfrey who was ready to block the ball from Havertz. Unfortunately, Godrey’s bow sent the ball past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and created a goal for Chelsea in that match.

After winning 1-0, Chelsea also had several times to endanger Everton’s goal. However, until the first half after the score was 1-0, in fact it remained in the Chelsea vs Everton match.

Second round

Entering the second half, Chelsea continued to try to control the game. They seem reluctant to give Everton the opportunity to play more with the ball.

As a result, Everton also found it difficult to create goal opportunities. While Chelsea has been able to make Everton’s goal several times threatened.

Fortunately Pickford played well and kept Everton’s goal clean for the second time. However, the England goalkeeper committed a foul midway through the second half.

Precisely when the game entered the 64th minute, Pickford actually dropped Kai Havertz in the penalty box. Pickford initially intended to grab the ball that was directed at Havertz, but instead he knocked the German out.

Jorginho who took the penalty kick then succeeded in making Chelsea immediately 2-0 up. Jorginho’s unique penalty kick style was able to trick Pickford and the Everton keeper seemed annoyed.

After that, there were no more goals that were created even though Chelsea had several golden opportunities. Chelsea won 2-0 over Everton and made their position in fourth place even safer from the pursuit of Everton who is in fifth.
