One of the Premier League Giant, Chelsea was reported to be interested in purchasing Barcelona star midfielder Philippe Coutinho in the upcoming summer transfer window as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard.
Even since Cristiano Ronaldo departed from Real Madrid, Eden Hazard was the hot property that has been talked around to be the next super Galatico that will be perfect to fill in the boot of Ronaldo. However Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri was able to make Hazard to stay at Samford Bridge, at least for another year.
Many football critics are all believe that the transfer of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid is only the matter of time, as Hazard was once again being reported to be depart Chelsea and heading to Santiago Bernabeu by the end of this season.
Therefore, Chelsea is also preparing for the life after Hazard. Chelsea was reported to be identify Coutinho as the perfect replacement if Hazard really go to Madrid.
Coutinho himself was only been join Barcelona recently from Liverpool for an amount of 142 millions Pound sterling. But report said that he is not happy in Barcelona and his performance has been a hot discussion lately.
That was one of the reason that the transfer of Coutinho back to Premier League is very possible. Chelsea knew this and been trying to prepare so that they could get one of the best midfielder around.
Chelsea is not the only team that showing interest in Coutinho. Manchester United also been reported to be having same interest in the Brazilian International. When media asked Coutinho about this issue, Coutinho was unsure himself.
“We will not know what will happen in the future,” said Coutinho.
“Right now, I do not want to think about that [the transfer rumour] because what in my head now is to work as hard as possible,” added Coutinho
