Despite Colombia’s persistent attacks, Brazil’s defense remained resilient throughout the first half, maintaining their 1-0 lead by halftime.
Colombia finally found the equalizer in the 75th minute when Luis Diaz capitalized on a pass from Jorge Carrascal, raising the spirits of the home crowd. Buoyed by the goal, Los Cafeteros continued to press forward and overturned the game with Diaz netting another goal in the 79th minute.
Following these goals, Colombia maintained their lead until the final whistle, securing a 2-1 victory over Brazil.
